Privacy Policy

The use of this website is subject to your agreement with the following Privacy Policy.

1. Purpose of Establishment

As a business operator handling personal information under the Act on the Protection of Personal Information of Japan (hereinafter referred to as the “Personal Information Protection Act”), Star Signal Solutions complies with the Personal Information Protection Act, relevant guidelines, and all other applicable laws and regulations concerning the protection of personal information.
This Privacy Policy sets forth the Company’s principles regarding the handling of personal information obtained through its operations.

2.Definitions

For the purposes of this Privacy Policy, “personal information” refers to the following, as defined in Article 2, Paragraph 1 of the Act on the Protection of Personal Information of Japan:
• Information relating to a living individual that can identify a specific person based on descriptions contained or recorded in documents, drawings, or electromagnetic records, or expressed through voice, behavior, or other means, including information that can be easily crossreferenced with other data to enable identification of the individual; and
• Personal identification codes as defined in Article 2, Paragraph 2 of the same Act.

3.Collection of Personal Information

The Company collects personal information such as names and email addresses when users submit inquiries to us.
In addition, during our recruitment activities, we may obtain personal information including names, addresses, dates of birth, email addresses, and other relevant details.

4.Compliance in the Acquisition and Handling of Personal Information

The Company adheres to the following principles regarding the acquisition, use, and provision of personal information.

(1) Personal Information Obtained
The Company will use the personal information it acquires only within the scope of the purposes specified in Section (2).
If the Company intends to use personal information beyond the originally stated purposes, it will clearly indicate the new purpose at the time of use and obtain the individual’s consent.
If the purpose of use is to be changed, the Company will notify the individual or publicly announce the revised purpose.

(2) Purpose of Use of Personal Information
Unless otherwise required by law or consent is obtained from the individual, the Company will not use personal information beyond the extent necessary to achieve the following purposes:

  1. To provide information related to the Company’s products and services (including guidance and notifications)
  2. To respond to requests for disclosure, inquiries, or other communications from the individual
  3. To use as reference materials for the Company’s recruitment activities
  4. To conduct personnel and employment management, as well as other essential daily operations required for business administration
  5. To request participation in customer satisfaction surveys and questionnaires related to the Company’s services
  6. To develop, enhance, improve, and market the Company’s services
  7. To respond to inquiries, opinions, and consultations received by the Company

(3) Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties
Except as required by law, the Company will not provide acquired personal information to any third party without the prior consent of the individual.
Upon request from the individual, the Company will disclose, correct, add, delete, or provide notification regarding the purpose of use of their personal information in accordance with applicable laws, and will appropriately respond to any opinions or consultations.

5.Security Management of Personal Information

The Company implements appropriate organizational, physical, personnel, and technical measures to protect personal information.
These measures are designed to prevent the leakage, loss, or damage of personal information handled by the Company and to ensure its safe and proper management.

6.Outsourcing the Handling of Personal Information to Third Parties

The Company may outsource all or part of the handling of personal information to external service providers within the scope necessary to achieve the purposes of use specified in Section 4(2) above.
In such cases, the Company will carefully evaluate the qualifications and suitability of the service provider and will exercise necessary and appropriate supervision to ensure that the entrusted personal information is managed securely.

7.Disposal of Personal Information

When personal information is no longer necessary in light of the purposes for which it was collected, the Company will delete or dispose of such information.
Deletion or disposal will be carried out using methods that are necessary and appropriate to prevent external leakage and other risks, and only to the extent required for the execution of business operations.

8.Disclosure of Personal Information

When the Company receives a request from an individual for the disclosure of their personal information in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Act, the Company will, after confirming that the request is indeed made by the individual, promptly disclose the information to the individual
(If such personal information does not exist, the Company will notify the individual accordingly).
However, this does not apply when the Company is not obligated to disclose such information under the Personal Information Protection Act or other applicable laws and regulations.

9.Correction, Suspension of Use, and Deletion of Personal Information

When the Company receives a request from an individual for
(1) correction of their personal information on the grounds that the information is not accurate, or
(2) suspension of use of their personal information on the grounds that it is being handled beyond the scope of the publicly announced purposes of use or was obtained through deception or other improper means,
the Company will, after confirming that the request is indeed made by the individual, promptly conduct the necessary investigation.
Based on the results of the investigation, the Company will correct or suspend the use of the personal information and notify the individual accordingly.
If the Company decides not to make corrections or suspend use, the Company will notify the individual of that decision.
If the Company receives a request from an individual for the deletion of their personal information, and determines that such a request must be honored, the Company will, after confirming that the request is made by the individual, delete the personal information and notify the individual.
This section does not apply when the Company is not obligated to make corrections, suspend use, or delete personal information under the Personal Information Protection Act or other applicable laws and regulations.

10.Revisions and Updates to the Privacy Policy

The Company will periodically review and improve this Privacy Policy.
Accordingly, the Company may revise the Privacy Policy as necessary.
However, if any revisions require the individual’s consent under applicable laws, the revised Privacy Policy will apply only to individuals who have consented to the changes in the manner prescribed by the Company.
When the Privacy Policy is revised, the Company will inform users of the effective date and the details of the revised policy by posting the updated version on the Company’s website or by other appropriate means, or by providing direct notification to the individual.
